Very nice Trans Am boys.. I made a thread the other day about kinda hiding the FMIC like you guys did... I like the mesh you guys used to put over it.

You asked for pics without the foglights....

That is Tran Zam's Trans Am that he just got back from Futral. You've probably read about it. It's a 408ci (Stroked 6.0L) with a GT-55 on it; holy **** does it put down some numbers. Personally, I like the stock option look. If I ever got a FMIC (which I would try to see if I could get out of it with the twin air-to-air intercoolers over the wheel wheels like INTMD8's setup), I would do what the fellas from page 1 did.

Yes, you would get more air to the intercooler without the foglights there, but I think the look is far too important. Just me, but I'd lose some power for the foglight look. If you get that turbo kit with the FMIC, it's worth the trouble fabbing the foglight backets.

Any additional airflow to be gained by removing the foglights has to be very negligible. It is open around the lights + it is completely open on the backside and fed air by the air dam. If anybody did testing I'm willing to bet you would see zero IAT difference.

unless your IC is shifted to the right and the left foglight feeds air into the turbo like mine
i like to use my foglights, but ill be giving them up for performance.

i own a heating and air conditioning company w/ access to metal bending equipment. i also have a 96 TA which doesn't have the front license plate that i can take out like you guys did for more air flow. so what i've got planned is making a shroud to go around the intercooler and "duct" to the fog lights while leaving the bottom open. any ideas whether or not this will work?

I cut up a black mesh trash can from staples or Office Depot. I looked everywhere for some metal that would match the honeycomb nostrill inserts but couldn't find any.

There has to be something, because my grandprix has the plasticy honeycombs
on my front grille.

Ahhh... the frame is a

It's a license plate cover that's cut into a frame!

That way, it's still easy to screw on and off! Did I cut up my own plate cover? No... I bought an extra one to cut up, and I still have my cover with the bird in black overlays to look nice, so I can switch from dipping into boost or just sittin' pretty.

If you're too lazy to do it yourself (like me), Revextreme IS a sponsor and maybe they don't mind doing one for you, you being in Florida and all (Are you near them?). They did it for me and it's pimp . It was a bitch to buy an extra cover in my case. I bought one on ebay for $55.00 when one finally popped up after months of waiting.
