anyone remember the thread in this section awhile ago where someone suggested wedging a screw driver or other blunt object to prevent the tubro from spinning on initial start up?

I really thought you could and were able to do that without harming the turbo... thought you needed to let the oil enter the turbo before it starts spinning.

Ummm, no. The oil feed to a turbo almost instantly hits the turbo upon engine startup. We are talking about 30+ psi of oil running through a small line to the turbo. It gets there quick enough.

I need to find video of the turbine wheel that exited a tailpipe at the line on a strip....

Yep right down the downpipe straight back and out the straight thru muffler.

had a guy in clomubus with a Rx7 who lost an apex seal down out his exhaust, shot out and killed his cat.
