Will I be satisfied?
Will I be satisfied? Will I be satisfied with a d-1 procharger and cam putting down 500 rwhp for at least a while? The only reason I asked is because I really don't have the money to buy a forged bottom end, AFR 225 72cc and 90 mm LSX intake with NW throttle body right now. I guess I'm only asking beause I don't know if I should just wait and buy all these things or just send it out to the shop and have them install the d-1 now and have fun with it. Sorry for the dumb question.
you dont really need a 90/90 setup.and you dont have to have AFR heads,theyre really nice but not a necessity.id call up HPE and see about a forged 348 shortblock and your choice of cheaper set of heads.You could probably get away with all that for $4000-4500.if thats still too steep i say put it on and stay to low boost,so long as you have a fuel system setup and can monitor everything and have a good tune,otherwise wait.
BOSS APPROVED! I am pushing 500+rwhp without any of the parts you mentioned. Where did you get this info from? Will you be satisfied with 500 rwhp? Who knows, but I do tell you that 500 rwhp is a lot of fun. A D1SC @ 10 pounds of boost will get you over 500+ rwhp easily.
Thanks for all the replys. I know that with the above mentioned parts I will be easily over 500 rwhp, but I only wanted to see if this would last me a while until I get all the rest of the stuff. One more thing what do you guys think my rwhp will be after the addition of the above mentioned parts including a 9 inch ford and a beefed up trans?
