Default STS Air filter cover

I have an STS GT70 on my car and love it with one exception the air filter location. I'm getting tired of cleaning the K&N filter. STS has a cover for the filter but it doesn't work very well. Has anybody come up with a cover or any other idea to protect the air filter? If you have a good idea that you've thought about or tried I'd love to hear or see it.

Thanks,
Jon

Thanks, I have the sock and it works ok but the filter and sock are still getting very dirty. I was hoping somebody had an idea for an aluminum cover or a shield. I've seen the shield that STS has and it's not enough protection.

Anybody else???

Thanks

Bringing this one back up, to add in an FYI.

I have an older STS kit. I was browsing their site and it said pre-existing customers (who didn't get a shield) could order the shield at a discount. So I did.

When it arrived, it was an APC 151103.

I found it online for 38% less than the price STS charged me. (a quick search on the part number + APC turned up a lot of big-name sources) I asked STS (via email) if they gave me a discount or had some mix-up on the price. A few days have gone by with no response...

So if anybody is thinking about getting this, shop around. If I'd known it was a readily available part (and the part number) I would have too.
