Default Fuel pump question for Blower guys

What does your fuel pressure drop to when you hit the gas? I run a Racetronix and it drops to 53 psi when I wack the throttle and stays steady right there. A little too low for my comfort level..Its 60 at idle. I'm not pushing that much power and I don't think the fuel pressure should be dropping that low. Something doesn't seem right to me. I heard the Racetronix pumps do this. I don't think adding a BAP is the right fix, I'm not making that much power..

my setup is racetronix plug n play 38 lb injectors (for now-they are maxing)
forged bottom end, blower cam..

faulty fuel pump? I don't want to add any more power until I get this resolved.

Anytime your at WOT your fuel PSI will drop. I have a blower so im not sure what your setup should drop to. LS1 engines have higher fuel PSI then other engines. 53 doesnt seem to low for me. You have any idea what your A/F ratio is? That'll tell you alot right their. Also depends what type of fuel sytem you have (pump/ lines/ rails/ injectors). Hope this helps. Anyone else?

If you're still using the factory regulator in the tank....that's the problem. A front mounted pressure regulator is the best method to correct pressure drop at the injectors....boost referenced.

If it drops more than 10psi with in-tank pumps it can cause problems.

Are you sure? I've driven a friends blown car and his psi increased as the boost increased.

Just looking for clarification that's all.

I converted to the '97 rails with 60# injectors and the racetronics kit. That made a huge difference.

I have 55 psi ad idle with the stock pump, 64 at idle with the additional pump that came with the Vortech kit and about 57 at WOT.
This is with the original fuel regulator in the tank.
I know those values are accurate: the pressure sensor + digital display are industrial stuff.

So basically it's the same difference as what you see.
