Default Dyno again :( again

Well today I went back to dyno at the place I dynoed at last week.Last week we could only load it enough to make 7psi and 465rwhp.Today they tried some dif load percentages and the car got up to 10psi but still about 5 lower than what it runs on the sreet! O yeah and a 9.6 a/f ratio cuz the alky comes on at 9/10psi but didnt get those extra 5 psi to lean it back out.Anysways new numbers on 10psi.530rwhp 542rwtq!!!! I gained 65rwhp from 3 psi!!!

IMHO I wouldnt have them dyno the car anymore until they learn how to properly use their dyno, sounds like a lot of wear and tear without the right results. You are the same guy that mentioned the shop just got that dyno and was still learning how to load/use it?

ya your probably about 650ish then
id just go to the track when it opens up and weigh the car, then plug it into a calcualtor to estimate it.

100 for the first pull and they are rookies at dyno'ing with a load dyno? WTF? I got 9 pulls for 100 bucks, he charged me an hours worth of dyno time, which was @90 and tax. Usually its 55 for 3 pulls if doing a quick dyno jobby.

BUT that is still pretty good for 10psi and running richer than hell. Does your meth turn on automatically or is it controlled by a switch in the car?

Sorry to hear about your luck on the dyno, guess me and you both have to wait for the track for some fun.

Yeah it is.I wont ever be going back there. My alk comes on at 9 psi and I run 15 psi so if it comes on at 9 and the boost stops at 10 then then its prolly hurting me more than helping.Hints the mid high 9s a/f ratio.High 10s under full boost on the street.

I'd get my money back since they are evidently clueless on how to run a dyno.

The guys that run the dyno there don't have a clue. They killed his car twice while just trying to drive it up on the dyno......lol. Good power for as rich as it is mang. We need to get that bastard to a good dyno sometime soon!

Many people don't understand that there are different types of dynamometers out there. A non load bearing dyno, such as many dynojets, cannot properly gauge the power of a turbo car. The dyno itself doesn't posses the ability to load the car properly. Your only real chance is a mustang dyno where your numbers will read low anyways.

The dyno pricing is more expensive because it isn't as cheap as a dynojet. There is A LOT more to a superflow dyno than a dynojet thats for damn sure!

Unfortunately it doesn't sound like the guys know how to use it yet. If/when they figure it out consider yourself very lucky to have on in your area SuperZ. Its exactly what you need to tune a turbo car, or any car for that matter, to simulate real world conditions.

Yeah they said the superflow was around 90k.It would be worth the higher bill if I could get some good numbers with it.

All said and done with the bells and whistles, it's closer to 40-50k...unless the people that bought it are idiots, which it sounds like is very likely.
