Have you looked at Lingenfelter's GT7 cam? I'm putting that into my new motor, so I don't have any driveability info to report. It has less duration but bigger exhaust lobe. My new motor is stroked 383 with LQ9 317 ported heads. I talked to lingenfelter's tech people and they recommended this cam for my motor. Hope that helps.

The GT-7 is what EPP stuff's in most of their procharger builds, on the net anyways. So, Urban Legend, what did you decide on 2 years ago, lol

we have since added a smaller cam to our SC line that we have been having great success with.

we have also changed around and added multiple cams to all of our custom grind cams such as our stroker and turbo grinds.

Mild cams with blowers are great...You can have your cake and eat it too...(Great manners with awesome power)

If I were in your shoes I would definitely lean towards the GT7

Don't forget on turbo's too. Many have used the Z06 cam and would be another great one at a good price. If I boost my stock engine I got a brand new hotcam ground on a 114LSA for 125 bucks that I'll be using for my turbo setup. 219/228 .525/.525 114 LSA

On lingenfelters site, they say the GT7 is designed for both supercharger and turbo.

That's good to know. I'm just a cruiser basically so having the nice driveability is important. Also I'm in SoCal so the less aggressive cam will help pass the smog sniffer.

That's the cam I was initially gonna go with. There's another member that lives near me that's Procharged on stock cubes with the Z06 cam and he loves it. So the GT7 is a little bigger but not much. I think it'll be a good match for me.

yup, you can't go wrong with either the Z06 and GT-7 as you said they are close in specs. Both will be stealthy too, all you really need in a FI setup. Especially when not going crazy. Even then, look at the cams speed inc use's allot of the time. Around 224 durations on 402-408 ci engines with amazing results!

Yeah, when I was looking for a cam I was surprised how small most the FI cams were. I'm old skool and thought a big cam was needed to match the airflow of the motor. But hence "forced induction", don't need the same cam service a n/a car needs. My buddy's car with the Z06 cam runs smooth, plus us Cali guys need to be weary of the smog limitiations. So a good fit all around. I should be running my new motor in about 3 weeks.

I went with ThunderRacing's blower cam
214/230 .601/.579 117 LSA

Only got about 4 miles on it, but runs decent. I will post dyno numbers when I get it tuned. Procharger with 6-7psi (repulleyed with the cam swap...)

EPP actually uses the GT23, which I think is an even smaller cam but with higher lift.

It's weird how LPE recommends the GT7 for FI, but I mainly read people using the GT23 on FI instead.

Try Thunder racings Blower cam 216-231 603/574 on a 116
I dont have it in yet but it was custom designed with Thunder and comp to make serious power with out idle and tuning issues. This was my choice and i researched blower cams for over a year before i bought it .

I vote for neither one ,check out ecs camshaft ,eastcoast supercharging ,they have a custom comp cam that they made there own specs on ,chris told me after 7 camshafts they went thru ,the one they have now is the best of the bunch for the 346,it will work well in a 402 & have great street manners,in the 346 theres a little rumble to it but its kinda of a sleeper ,i know the Lsa is high in it ,there a little sceptical when giving out camshaft specs,i am running one in my car now with a Novi 2k ,& am impressed with it,if u can go to corvetteforum.c o m & check out there search engine for the ecs camshaft & see what u come up with,i know there 400.00 for there cams also, there are quite a few vettes in that forum putting up BIG #S with there ecs cam /charged motors
