The big advantage to the AFR225s is the thicker deck that has better clamping force for boost, the AFRs also have some great flow #s out of the box. The AllPro heads are also great for boosted motors with a thick deck but need port work as they dont flow as good untouched.

For those of you looking at the Dart 225's, can these be run on a 347 ci motor?
I know that the Afr 225's are meant for a 4.0 bore

I am looking into heads right now myself. have only narrowed it down to a set of dart 225's (would need the chambers opened up too), patriot stage 2 lq9's, et heads, afr 205's or some used heads that I can get somewhat cheap.

Or should I just have my low mileage lq9's ported?

too many choices in the 1250-2250 range.

Get the baddest heads you can pay for from ET Performance. Just drive over there to pick them up. Money on heads while not cheap, is the best route.

I just order my heads PP 72cc preadators I m looking at one benafit from ported heads is that you can run the same amount off boost and make the same amount of power with a cooler motor and If you up the boost you will make more power of course but with the temps lower If that is the case then i am happy

anyone know how hard is it to open up the cumbustion chamber in heads about 10 cc's do they have enough room,
those $1200 darts look good other then their 62cc chambers

Texas Speed told me it would be no problem to open up the Dart 225's to 72cc chambers.

I would love to run the et performance 11* heads but have been told that they wont clear the valve reliefs in the diamond pistons I have. I haven't called et direct to comfirm.

From the builders that I've spoken to that is correct..You're going to need a special cut piston in order to run those heads...

bummer. ty for the info. 1 less choice to go with now.

I sooo wish dart's had a thicker deck, and a bigger cc chamber from the factory. then it would be a no brainer.
