what the difference between(flow wise): stock ls1 exhaust manifold & 6.0 exhaust mani

Default what the difference between(flow wise): stock ls1 exhaust manifold & 6.0 exhaust mani

ok i am contemplating running the kit how it comes for the stocks ls1 manifolds or getting a set of 6.0 and flipping them forward but to save the time of paying someone to reweld some neew exhaust im trying to figure out if there is a big flow difference between the 2??

not sure if there is a difference but the truck manifolds fit correctly. i dont think you can take the ls1 manifolds and make them fit. just what i know

I'm guessing that the angle has something to do with it.

unless your worried about ground clearance (i take it you have a pahm budjet kit) id keep it, the stock ones probably flow more but i dont have any data to back this up, nor do i think anyone has data to back it up.

cool thanks folks!!! yes basically that is the kit well how it was set up...should i have the stock manis coated or anything or just wrap them in exhaust rap...any specific kind?

yea the kit has already been on a car befor ......... will they work with my 6 liter heads im putting on??

ya he has them facing the original way,
one guy here got them to work facing forward, but had to do some griding on the flange, think he later just bought some 6.0's and did his kit that way (least he said he was looking for some to do that)

found the answer the 02 manifold from ls1 is a quater inch smaller in the exhaust outlet from a 6 liter exhaust mani
