I realize this is sort of a drivetrain question but hearing different things about flywheel weights and advantages for turbo guys.
I am used to talons and several turbo buddies run the fidanza which is very light and seem to like it.
I ordered one for my 97 talon but it isn't in yet so don't know how it will be.
But thinking of turboing my 99 ta next year and not sure really which flywheel to get, textralia has three, heavy stock type and lighter steel and then lighter aluminum I think.
I have heard the lighter flywheels do help turbo spool by letting the engine rev faster but not sure about using them in a v8.
I am likely going to keep a 3.42 gear even if get a 12 bolt so just dont' want to have problems with the light flywheel.
I dont' plan on much track racing ,mostly just a street car ,no autocross either.
So which flywheel would you guys get and anyone with turbos running a superlight one and happy with it?
