How many of you are running solid rollers???? 
I have one in my SBC 383 and it's great. It's a Comp Cams Xtreme Street Roller, 230/236@.050, adv. 268/274, net lift .575/.583, 112LSA. 1.6RR. Idles easily at 750rpm, wails up to 6500. Killer mid and top.
Figure a roller to be similar in performance to a hydraulic roller with 8 degrees more duration at .050, and have the idle characteristics of a hydraulic roller 8 degrees smaller than its .050 specs. So mine would approximately perform like a:
238/244@.050 HR.
and idle like a:
222/228@.050 HR.
BTW, mine's a Vortech blown motor with a FMIC. Seeing a max of about 7.5# after the FMIC and throttle.
I have only adjusted the valves twice - once cold during the build, and once hot after getting it running. I have about 6K miles on it now. I am running the CC Endurex lifters, and CC 977 roller springs.
To me it's the best of both worlds!

Solid roller here 240/250 & 580/600 lift 112lsa.. Great performance, no complaints here.. My motor was run for a year N/A @ 12:1compression and was very nasty... I now have an F1 procharger @ about 12lbs boost.. If i built a larger cubic inch motor it will not be solid roller. For all the $$ it costs to run a roller setup i'd just run a little more boost..
