Default could you weld exhaust with this

starting the custom turbo. i was wondering if this welder was ok to weld up some exhaust.

I wouldnt get that. If your gonna get a mig welder, id atleast get a good name brand welder not a cheap one. make sure its a gas welder not flux core. I only use a tig welder for my stuff but i have access to plenty of them.

i just need it to *** up stuff for this one project. I waswondering if i could get enough penetration on exhaust piping? is it possible?

you could definitely do exhaust with that. i wouldnt do structural stuff tho.

it says flux...i really didnt look at it closely..but if its flux core wire...its gonna make a mess...i would get yourself something that has a shielding gas.

and it has a 7 day warranty!

its not the prettiest welds in the world but they are completely functional.

ive been over 147 in the 1/4 with my flux core 110v welds

you will have a hard time welding with it, your bead will be very small and ugly as hell. It will join to exhaust pipes together but that would probably be the extent of its capabilities.

With practice, you could probably join some exhaust pipes together, however I would get something with more than a 7 day warranty.

id definatly get a gas welder, 100 amps should be enough for .065 wall tubing.
