STS Turbo question

Im thinking about installing an STS turbo on my 01 M6 TA. My engine is completely stock. Other than the supporting mods will I have to change anything else. Basically will the stock engine handle 5-8 lbs of boost and still be reliable for a daily driver? Any other suggestions please let me know.

Do a pump and injectors and get a GOOD tune. Those three things will make it alot safer. You may also think about upgrading valve springs.

what type of pump and what # injectors?

42# injectors.. you can use an MSD boost-a-pump (STS sells this kit as part of its Tuning fueling additional kit) Bosch or delphi injectors.. the 8.1 trucks had the delphi 44#'s as stock, just an FYI

42lb injectors if you are staying conservative with boost. Walbro 340 (255lph) and you can add a boost-a-pump too.

I know that they are 44's in the 8.1 trucks but I thought that they were shorter than the car injectors.
Are the injectors the same length?

truck injectors are shorter and the connector is different; pin style vs. spade. Also not a good selection of injectors for trucks available.

for the fuel pump i did the racetronix kit which is basically a walbro 255, works awesome by the way and quiet like the stock one, u can get a boosta pump which helps like billy said, 42# inhectors if u dont plan on more than 475rwhp or so, and 60#'s if u plan on something crazy for the future..so u wont swap or spend twice

hey man, trt built mine and i have the 42's and my car, i run 7psi. and im almost at 470 with mine. 42's "should flow to about 580-600? if im wrong... someone will correct me
