Default Twin Rotrex info needed

I am definately in the market for a new FI setup. Turbo is an option, but, seems to be by far the most expensive route. I would consider the Livernois 76mm turbo because the price is right.

Anyway, I've been looking at the twin rotrex setup that w2w has and i want that thing. I think the F1 procharger is gonna be WAY too damn loud for my taste. Does ayone have any thoughts on how to plumb the kit for intercooer and what manifold to use? looking at it, it seems that there is no room on the front of the engine to mount the tb in the stock location.

Why not just call W2W?

you mat need twin head units since you are running a 408 so I would definitely call W2W to find out if that kit would work for your goals.

I have seen it close up at W2W and it is a sweet little setup. I do think they are quit a bit quieter then other supercharger setups. I like what I have herd about those little monsters. Price looks right for a dual setup too.

By the time you add an IC and all the custom plumbing for a dual Rotrex setup (these are not exactly state-of-the-art - they've been around a while) you are in the single turbo price range.

What are your goals? Is this going on the truck?

single turbo from livernois is $5600ish. NOBODY has any dyno sheets on them though. The only thing I've seen is that escalade video, which is impressive, but not even close to my goals. I want to be in the 11's and making 750+ at the wheels.

If it is agreet that the 76mm Livernois kit will do that, i'm all for it. I could have a custom kit done for about $7500 but why bother if the Livernois kit is complete.

I was thining of the F1 but they are so damn LOUD. No thanks.

Yeah Kevin is out today, but should be back tomorrow. We have ran the twin setup on a smaller engine (364cid) and made over 1000hp. Much quieter than any other blower out there with barely any noise at all. With a truck, you have a lot more room and options for peripherals

The right turbo kit will give you a lot more low/mid torque than any centrifugal blower setup - Rotrex included.

What about some nitrous with your Whipple?

Or even easier - keep the truck the way it is and buy a used LS1! We saw a guy around here get a LS1 Camaro for $5350, and he got it in the 11's for less than $2000 more.

I think you made a good choice, that Livernois kit looks nice. Sometimes it's hard to keep my hands off of the wifes Escalade (It's such a turd).
