The AJE and the former ARE K-Member both utilize a motor mount plate on them that allow you to use the factory style or aftermarket solid motor mounts. Some of the other K-Members have the motor mount built in so that you just reuse the factory block side mount. We use it because it allows us to move the geometry of the mount around so that we can fit the 4" pipe through that space.

a 4" downpipe is tight no doubt. I had to clearance more then i thought at first to slip the pipe up with the Vband ends. Im sure when the motor torques it will touch the pipe, hopefully it wont bang though.

since i wanted to keep a poly mount i desided to go with the BMR with mounts. THe mount stand was small and angled and allowed the most room with that mount. If your going with solid stands then an AJE would probably be your best bet as i think thats what mike brown is using with his 5" pipe (using a poly mount on the other side though..
