Man that just sucks!!!

Glad he's alright. I remember watching a buddy flip his 7 second stang on it's lid at GLD and afterwards he was just smiles. Think it's just some people's way of hiding the hurt. But again, all that matters is that he's ok and will live to race another day.

Thanks to all for the comments, i'm fine just a little sore in the neck and shoulders. The car is definatley finished as far as were concerned, looks like most of the drivetrain is ok at this point although we will not know until we get it all apart.

Some of the track guys said they saw water coming from the front of the car when it took off the line and it obviously got under the left rear tire turning it sideways so fast that i had no chance of saving it, i've saved this car from getting squirrley dozens of times and this was completley different!! Luckily it was at the first part of the run where i was probably only going 60-70mph and it scrubbed off alot of that before it actually hit the wall.

Not exactly sure of our plans at this point we will surley try to get something back together as soon as possible but that will depend on how much damage we find when we break everything down,if the engine and trans is ok that will be big, the turbo may need some minor tlc but Jose at forced inductions will be gettint it soon to see the damage. Obviosly the radiator/fan,drysump oil tank and breather, turbo y-pipe,right front tire, turbo exhaust pipe, turbo compressor pipe are all trash, i'm sure this list will grow but at first glance that's all i've seen.

Our next car will be 25.5 cage and more set up for drag radial and true 10.5 real street racing. Thanks to everyone that has ever helped us with this car, all of our friend that are our crew at the track, Kurt at W2W, John Meaney Big Stuff 3, All the guys at BMR(may be giving them a call soon ),Rossler trans,Midwest Converts, Craig at Cincy speed,Bob at All Pro Heads, and most recently Jose at forced inductions.com.

The race season is not over for us by no means we'll just have to run the hell out of the CE this year, is there a class somewhere for 3700+lb. tanks running high 8's?? Were definaley going to run drag week and some radial racing at milan with it.

Once again thanks to everyone we will be back, bigger and badder

Oh yea Harlen, your fuel rails are Ok!! Later Steve Turley

Sorry to see the car, get wrecked, but like everyone else said I'm glad Steve is ok. I hope to see something even more evil coming together very soon.

You guys going to have a couple cars out this year for the Great American Cruise?

I looked things over fairly good today. Looks like besides the car what we need to replace is the radiator, fan, oil tank, breather filter, tire, and both the hot and cold side tubing. Possible damage to the wastegate and turbo. Look OK but won't know for sure till there cutout and inspected. The most important thing is that Steve is OK.

The new setup has already been designed in my head and hope to have it out to the track for testing by the end of the season.

Here is the next race car.

PSJ. I bought the TA near you today and will be keeping it for my girlfriend to drive. I'll be picking up the Camaro at the end of the week.

Cars are easy to mend...people aren't. Sucks to hear about the accident, but I'm just glad nobody got injured in the process. Just think of this as an opportunity to fix all of the "little things" that were bugging you about the old set-up...everyone usually has a few of those...

hopefully not to many expensive parts got damaged and you can use most of them on your new build (but you should have kept it pontiac)

Glad to hear Steves OK. Very sorry to hear about the car. I hope there is no damage to the drivetrain.
I will be looking foward to seeing the new setup because I'm sure it will be pure evil.
