Default Bad day for Ohio Boys Formula

Well, I guess I will be the bearer of bad news. Unfortunetly on the last pass in the finals of the race in Clay City, Ky yesterday the car hit the wall almost head on. Steve was not hurt at all, just upset as you can imagine. He did his best to try and save it, just had to much momentum. Don't know what the future holds as far as a replacement goes. I will let mike or steve comment on that. So it will be just the big yellow tank for this season. I have some pics attached, sorry for the poor quality, I took some video and I am video illiterate when it comes to posting video so I took some pics off of the screen.

It required a 9" tire. Steve was running a 29.5 x 9.0

My god thats terrible. Very happy to hear driver was not injured!

I was in love with that car. Looked and ran amazing. I hope not much was damaged with the drivetrain and they can get a good car to slap it in and get back out there.

Glad to hear Steve's ok... sucks about the car though. BUT, cars can be replaced... hard to remember that sometimes, but it's true.

It wasn't running all that quick yesterday, it never broke out of the 9's due to the small tire and track conditions, but it runs mid to low 8's pretty consistently. In Bradenton, FL back in January it went 8.15 @ 17? on a drag radial.

Just got off the phone with steve. Sounds like he is going to use another body instead of trying to fix what he has. I am just glad he is ok, car can be replaced, life cant. If you need anything steve, just give me a call. Wish yall luck on getting it back together.

Yeah, that's very unfortunate. We made the trip to Clay city yesterday, and got there just in time for his free run and see the yellow car make a run. We were hoping for a pretty good final, but as soon as the car launched you could tell it was loose and not save-able. From what we could see, it looked like most of the real expensive stuff didn't get hurt too bad.

Glad Steve is okay, I know he took it alot better than I or most of us would have yesterday. After it got towed off the track, I recall one of them saying "Call wheel to wheel up, and tell them we'll take one just like Dave's but black"

Good Luck Guys.

Glad to hear that he's OK, sorry about the car. I'm sure the new one will be even badder.
