Well, which is it? 6-7 lbs or 15 lbs? Slight difference there..

with 72cc heads compression will be 9.27-1. the pistons in these motors are the same ones they use for their boosted appilications just those are worked different to get the lower compression. it is the same material in each piston. so kp is running 14psi on a motor from w2w with a little cheaper piston and on 9.5 -1 so i think i should be ok. but i will let kurt or kevin chime in later

ANY motor can take boost its all a matter of how much, what octane, and the TUNE. That motor will take all he gives it as long as its tuned correctly and runs the correct octane for the boost level. You can run 30# on a 11:1 motor as long as the parts are good, its tuned, and you have octane.

I'm sure Todd was refering to the lower boost if he had smaller chamber heads and higher compression.

I would have used those same off the shelf flat top Mahle pistons in my motor if I had 72cc heads I wanted to try the Dart heads so I had 'custom' dished pistons made but they are most likely standard flat tops with a bigger dish, I didnt see them out of the motor but I doubt they are thicker, rings are moved down and I know they arent coated.

I paid more for mine with a stock crank that I provided, if someone at W2W would have told me they had aftermarket cranked 347s with flat tops I would have spent the money difference on a set of 72cc AFRs or something and bought one of those Mahle piston motors in a second instead of waiting a couple months. But thats how stuff goes...

Let the man enjoy his purchase lol.

What Kevin said is correct. I'd rather err on the safe side and then follow up with additional information rather than just tell everyone to boost the heck out of it I don't assume everyone asking questions here is an expert tuner or has the wherewithall to do "educated things" with boost.

Every combo is different, and 9.5:1 with 15psi will be just fine with the proper tune. Heck, you can run 15psi with an 11:1 engine if you pull enough timing out.
