Default Electronic Boost Controllers...

Ok, There are a bunch of guys in here running turbos... Me included. I want to know what each of you are running as far as boost controllers. I want everybody to respond!

Let us know what you have. Be it Using the spring of your wastegate, a manual boost controller, or an Electronic. Also, let us know what you think the Pros and Cons of your controller.

I am running a simple manual boost controller similar to the Tial unit. Its more of a trial and error controller. Also it take a little longer to build boost. Last year I ran no controller, just ran the pressure off the wastegate spring. I really want a nice electronic boost controller...

So, what are you running?

Ryan K.

e-boost2 for me...I am a gadget person so learning to set it up was half the fun for me. Works perfectly though and can do LOTS of stuff.

Had an Apexi and it started doing strange stuff on its own. Replaced it and the new one started doing strange stuff on its own....so did a buddies unit...could have lost an engine. Apexi = JUNK.

Went to E Boost 2.....great controller...not as easy to configure "on the fly" like Apexi, Not as pretty as Apexi, but it's rock solid in commanded changes for the past 6 months. Would buy EB2 again.

Apexi AVC-r... Gonna have to agree with onfire about this one. I own it and it is complicated as hell... Made for foreign cars so go figure, but it does look nice. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought the Eboost 2.

Eboost 2 and HKS EZ are probably the most popular. Also the Greddy Porfec B is a nice piece. We prefer the E-boost since it fits into some gauge pods at least.

I'v got a Greddy unit. I like it a lot, haven't had any problems out of it and its easy to use. It's a dual stage controller so I run 6spi on one setting and 10psi on the other. If I had it to do again I would look into the controller that Parish runs. Its pricey but might help with the traction issues. One more thing I like about the Greddy unit is its size. Its really small and can be mounted anywhere.

Turbosmart dual stage boost controller here,
http://www.boostcontroller.com/index...6category%3D97

Its OK, instructions suck but its pretty decent...but it already feels like the low boost **** is going to break..so I'm put off about that.

I'm running the Blitz SBC i-D and the Power Meter i-D for fun. It's point click and shoot with the bells and whistles when you want to play with them.

Same here. Blitz DSBC for the twin turbos. We tried a manual first but it didn't work. You get what you pay for.
