Question about pressure leak
Question about pressure leak Tionight, I decided to pressure check my system. Something I have never done...and with 30 feet of charge pipe and numerous clamps connection points...it was long over due.
Here what I found....a leak, that seems to be substantial, coming from the throttle body shaft under the throttle return spring area. Has anyone ever pressure tested their system and found this..Is this normal? Seems like a decent sized leak...evan with only a few pounds in the system. BTW I have a TPIS 90 mm TB.
The next question is...how important is this leak..if I am making more than enough boost..what effect is there? in reality?
How i pressure tested was plugged an ait inlet on one turbo, and on the other one put in a fitting with a valve stem and used a compressor to test they system. I was a TDC of course so all ex valves were closed.
Lastly, I also noted leaks in the valve shaft of my waste gates when i pressure tested them too...

pull the shaft and put some grease on it, if its not too loose it may hold...

Doesnt feel loose at all...I did inspect another manufacturers billet 90mm toadau..and they have a snug rubber gromment...shame on tpis/mti... not sure what fast does...but the 90 I inspected today is a better peice.
