That is AWESOME man... you're already puttin down some serious numbers... Can't imagine that kind of boost at this point since I've only experienced an "un-tuned" 7psi. What is the thickness of the MLS 6.0L gaskets?

"The stock 6.0L MLS truck block cylinder head gasket is 0.038-inch thick and displaces 11 cc's" found on the net..but who knows for sure??I also found that they may be .060 compressed...also found Stock compressed 6.0L thickness is .055" with a bore of 4.080".

Wow, HUGE difference between .038 and .060! #317 heads with stock displacement and -9cc mahles, just need the head gasket to get it as close to 8.5 as possible! Chris, have you run your C5 at the track this season?

Yeah, I'm traping 11.4-11.6@130mph with the 19" CCW wheels and street tires. Spinning the tires 1st-3rd gear I think they updated the head gaskest in 2002 an now they are all .55 or so

That is absolutely sickening man. I would LOVE to hit 130mph in the 1/4! I'll have to look into the gaskets, 8.5:1 should do the trick and run great. Did you get the mahle/hbeam package from racerparts? *jealous of your C5*

No, not yet. I was not sure of the quality of the rods on the raceparts kit. I was going to see if TSP could price match and put a package together if I bought all the parts from them including the block...

Thanks, its a work in progress. It made better numbers than I expected. I had only the 3rd or 4th Paxton Novi 2000 kit from ECS, so I wasn't real sure of what it would do. Made those numbers running pig rich at 10.5/1 AFR and 14-16* timing trying to not pop the stock pistons... The same blower and intercooler they run on there 402 shop car that runs 9.33@149mph. Doug at ECS says if I want to step up the the 402 and 15psi I can make 900+rwhp. I just laughed. I will be happy with my little 346ci and 14-16psi and making 750-825rwhp... As long as I dont do anything wrong. I do all my own work, tuning and engine builds. Weekend warrior Ok, I'm just to broke to pay anyone to do it...

Raceparts kits use CAT Power rods last I checked. Those rods have been used in several 800+ rwhp builds. I am ordering that kit with the -16cc pistons for my build.

Yeah, I have CAT's in my 464ci Pontiac, and they've held up at 7200 rpm on a long stroke (4.210") just fine. LOL

I was using the one www.classicalpontiac.com under restoration. Had been using it for years and years right after I got my 67. Thanks for that link though, basically does the same thing but metric also.
