PSJ have you thought about running 4 inch into 3.5 all the way back and out?
Or keep it four inch all the way back and out with with no muffler?
With the turbo I dont think you'll need a muffler and the car will be quite drivable with it exiting out the back. (no drone or stink)
My old 4 inch mufflex weighed a freaking ton. I am not sure if 3.5 will support your power goals though...

my 4" muffler is pretty light compared to my tubing, (not much more weight), but its all detachable so i can dump it right after my downpipe which just reaches my tranny.
with my exhaust setup and turbo, its alot louder then i thought, if its like mine and you want to drive it on the street and not get annoyed youll have to run a catback, the 4" pipe allos alot of sound from the engine, and i only have a 224/224/114 cam

Yeah at idle they are 80% loud as open headers that way.
I can easily make up another exhaust for the car, it had a Mufflex once too. I have had like 10 exhaust setups on the car.
