Default Hmmm the car looks bare without the blower

Today, I went ahead and tore down my custom YSi blower setup. The entire kit is off the car, and all I have left to remove is the exhaust and the heads.

It's not going to Speed or anywhere until I receive my intercooler from Griffin.

I'm going to go back and wrench on the car next weekend and remove the exhaust and the heads.

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. Tick tock, tick tock.

Is that all that you're waiting on?

That sounds pretty typical of UPS. Don't count on them going out of their way to help you.

Why don't you just get one from Precision? Or is this a LS1Tech hook up?

Kit is sold pending receiving the last 1/2 of the funds.

Andy I can pm you the contact guy I use for Griffin; I did not call you last nite because we were busy with our toddler.

I thought since I am wating on a part I might as well myself tear the setup down. I would have gone today to finish it but we have social plans.

If I don't receive the Grififn or a tracking number this week, I will be going with someone else.

On a lighter note, My guess is that the turbo setup will add 30 lbs to the front of the car, but that might be offset by by running a single exhaust to the rear instead of my dual x-pipe setup... most likely a wash.

i dont know about yours john, ibut my whole 4" exhaust system added a good bit of weight on mine, sucker is huge, im gonna go snap some pics of it right now, i just got to do a connection to the catback though. I think mine would out weigh an Xpipe

you really think your gt47 weighs 30lbsmore then the vortec setup?

edit: well since john wont post pics for entertainment, i will
shows my 4" exhaust and rear suspension i just got doing (rear sway bar, relocation brackets, and johns old LCA's)

Well the new turbo was 68 lbs shipped, and the YSi head unit is nowhere near that. So if figured a weight difference of 30 lbs. But my current exhaust was probably 50-60 lbs since it has two mufflers. I'm sure I can run a single exhaust that is lighter.

I don't have any bare pics, at least not yet.
