Default Won the Year One event this weekend (sorta)..

Didnt make it to the road coarse to check out the car show, there was a pretty good showing of 11-12-13 index cars despite the weather.

There was 3 cars in the 10.0 class I was in and I couldnt get the car slowed down enough to qualify #1 so I had to go one round. Mustang I raced red lighted so I was in the final, I was so tired I left in 3rd gear by mistake after the burnout and just drove the car down the track when I realized it about 3 feet out. Funny thing is the other guy broke out (we decided to split the pot and just to go ***** out) so I won on paper anyhow.

Still ran a 9.85 @ 133 on the brakes at the end 1st pass, then ran a 9.95 @ 120 letting off about 1000' lol, 3rd qualifying pass I let off a little too much at the 1/8 to try to qualify better and ran 10.88 @ 76mph

Had a decent time overall, shame the weather wasnt that great but its a pretty cool event. Despit locking my keys in the car in the staging lanes when it was running (started pouring and I got out of the car to close the hood and must have bumped the PDL button on the way out) it was still a good time. The ORSCA cars were out in force, lot of nice cars if you are into that sort of thing

Few vids, wife fell asleep for eliminations (which they switched to 1/8 mile because the moisture on the lights was messing up the 1/4 mile timers), 2nd pass on the vid was 9.95 @ 120. I probably could have ran 9.60-9.70 there pretty easy if I tried but I was trying to slow the thing down lol.

dunno, most likely because it looks/sounds just like every other 12-13 second black trans am and no one pays any attention. And trust me after 25 years of making passes at dragstrips I'm more careful then most..

Cool to see you got your D1, did you end up buying white lightning's kit?

i got mike's kit.... the black TA on Exotic performance... it made 717rwhp at 5300rpms on a 346/7 with heads and gt2-3 cam, 3.4 pulley and stock 8rib crank....

mine will be 408, gmpp, sheetmetal elbow, 224/224 or bigger cam... it should be interesting to see the difference...

Just simple bolt on stuff here, even aligned the car in the garage myself..

Good shocks, good torque arm, LCA relocation brackets, rod ends on everything to keep the rear in place and a good rear sway bar. And good tires of course

Na, my rears are CE 3 way adjustable, 40.00 each or something. Front Strange single adjustables were fairly cheap and they act like QA1 'R' shocks. Works for me..
