I think the problem is electrical or valvetrain related. If you make power up to a certain point, and the power is good, then I would look and see if the car drops off at the bad rpm or just shuts down. Could be problem with voltage if it just shuts off, but if the dyno gets spikey or wavery could be springs.

Sean,

I know you need to do whatever you feel is best given your school and work situation, however it hurts to see someone throw in the towel when they're 95% done with a buildup. There isn't someone with a spare set of springs you can try?

Good luck, whatever you decide.

Yeah man, I'd really hate to see you sell the car...epsecially without getting to make some passes in it.

I have thought about selling the car several times (I am sure that everyone has), but ususually I will just stay away from it for a couple of weeks and come back to it with new determination to get it done. If you're sick of it...take a break and come back to it.

Figure if you sell it then you will only build another one later anyway...

If you are going to sell it, get it running right first...hell, take it to W2W and let them figure it out. If anyone can it is Kurt and the boys.

Sadly the car is probably worth more as it sits, then if I spend a bunch of money figuring it out only to get the same amount since all the value is in the parts themselves...

I am talking with a few people who are interested in the whole thing so I'll continue trying to figure it out but leave my options open...for the right price, the stuff is GONE. For the wrong price, I'll have to weigh the grief vs. the loss of $.

solid roller 6500 redline? that does not sound very satisfying to me.

I've wanted to give up on my car several times, it seems like no matter how much money gets dumped into it the thing never gets finished, on the bright side last time it ran with forced induction and bigstuff3 my revs went up to 7k no problem

Maybe PM PSJ about how they discovered the problem...
Yeah... I remember that. I have videos of his car shooting flames out of the tail pipe. He even blew the muffler right off when he took off down the street. He thought that his tuner had a bad program in it and brought it to Speed Inc. for a re-tune and the problem still existed. So it wasn't the tune.

Check the alternator, you might not be getting enough of voltage. It almost sounds like the car is shutting off for a split second. Maybe the belt is slipping? I did not view your logs as my computer at work is not letting me download the software. So needless to say, I couldn't see the battery voltage. Hope this helps.

The reluctor wheel on my stroker crank (at the time) was loose and moving out of range of the crank sensor. I'm not sure how a BS3 would handle that but my stock pcm would shut the ignition off.

I am sure that BS3 would do something similar, although JM/Rich Gala/Kurt/W2W should be able to verify.

Stock crank and the reluctor has never been removed. So I doubt that's the case.

Looks like the fuel pressure is doing something weird when the problem happens...buddy said it started vibrating like 10 psi and went as low as 40 psi. It is set for 55-57 base + lb per lb of boost. This was under no boost just revving it up slowly at idle.

Maybe an injector or 4 sticking open? And then they don't return to normal until they no longer get power (aka turn igition off?) It's a stretch, but who knows. Going to try and find someone else's injectors to try. My buddy's 160's are too tall and my rails won't sit right on them.

Do you want to sell them or do you mean just to try another set out? I'd pay shipping of course.

You can try them out, I'm not going to need them for about a month.

PM me your shipping info.

And yes they are also for sale, I'm going to pick up 160s
