Nick's truck is getting there, both have been in the shop for a few days now. Nick just needs to put the harness and accesories on his and put the clip on it.

Well first dyno today. 5.5psi netted 450rwhp@5400, and 465rwtq@4800
Through a 4000 stall vig, 4l80e.

Not to shabby on the stock L31 bottom end. I think I am going to enjoy turning this one up.

Right, I am going to wick her up real soon. We seemed to have missplaced the spring that came with the gate, so I may be ordering some from you lol. Maybe a E-boost too.

Anyone taking bets on how far the stock bottom end will go??????

BTW, the L31 is just the 5.7l vortec that came in the GM trucks after 96'. Its a 2 bolt main motor with PM rods and hyperutectics, all stock in the bottom.

Awesome man. Its amazing that engine even made that much with the stock engine without coming apart. As for parts, I am sure Jose has them, or can have them in no time.

Frickin A right Jose, the only thing better then a S78 is two of them....er, or maybe a S95.

Last night we turned it up to 8psi. Maybe we will get to 11-12 this weekend and see if the stock shortblock can survive a few passes at 550+rwhp lol. We are all taking bets at the shop. Personally I think it will make over 600 to the tires before giving up. Allthough it migh die on the next past. As far as I know no-one has taking one of these motors this far even.
