Default What belt length for MMS crank and 4.0 pulley?

I'm just now wrapping up my rebuild and putting the supercharger back on.

I posted before asking what belt size for the MMS crank pulley and 4.0". I was told a 42", which is way too short. Can anyone help me out with this one? Looks like I need another 5-8"s. Or easiest way to measure it.

Thanks Dennis

Don't you have a 3.7" on yours? Do you know that length of it?

If you don't find an answer here, this is what I did.

The easiest way I found to get the length was use a piece of string.

I set the idler but leaving enough room to tighten the belt when installed. Then threaded a length of heavy string/twine along the belt route. Once it was tight, I'd cut it were the 2 ends crossed.

Went to the auto parts store and just "stepped it" off on a few belts until I found the right length.

The auto part store should have a belt guage anyway. They should be able to find the length by just measuring your string.

That's what they use when you bring them a belt without #'s on it and don't know exactly what it came off of.

42" was just a bit too long. A 41" was just right. I saw #11's. Think its time for a 3.7"!!!
