No because many magnuson kits come WITHOUT intercoolers. I would just keep an eye on IAT's, and if they started climbing, id know something was up long before anything detonated. If an alky pump fails, on a WOT run on a car tuned for it, it will detonate IMMEDIATELY. Two different things. Just because youve been lucky and haven't had one fail, doesn't mean it don't happen. Don't get your panties in a wad because I have a "PREFERENCE" on how to use meth kits, which I clearly stated.

Again am I going to see a power increase by putting on the meth and not getting a tune for a while.

Probably not, best to tune for it. Other than that it'll probably just richen the car up a lot and make your peformance a lil lower than what you are use to now.
