the motor is in. we put it in from the top. tranny was dropped. figured it would be easier to connect the trans to the motor later. my main goal was to atleast get the motor in today. you know 4th of july coming gotta get shiet cleaned up to bbq and people coming over gotta be able to show some work. tomorrow wire it all back up, mount the headers, and possibly get the transmission mounted. oh yeah gotta pressure test the brake lines too, since i added the abs delete while i had the motor out.

just got my mondo bypass valve. dayam this is way bigger than i thought. where did you guys mount it. inside the bumper area or engine bay..
btw this it with the fmic

where did you tap into the manifold for the vacuum/boost fitting for the bpv.
im thinking i can grab it from where i had the pcv hose? behind the throttle body, or the one where the evap hose was attached.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
this is the fuel regulator im using. the gold fitting is also supposed to be tapped to the manifold for boost reference. do i tap this along with the bpv. my other option was to tap it behind where the a/c vacuum line was, since i no longer have a/c either

Any wheres Brake booster line with a T is pretty easy. I also and going to recomend like Bob did the dual intake pumps Y'd to a #8 line and using the factory as a return worked so good for me best overall mod for a FI car. And you asked about drilling an 4340 crank you should use a carbide bit it was the only thing that worked good for me. Looks good and good luck.

i thought some were saying brake booster tapped is not a good idea? for fuel im using the maganfuel pump. and i got the crank pinned already. thanks though, ill tap into the brake booster if thats my last choice. just want someone to say if the old pcv evap provisions are ok to use since they are there anyways

UPDATE!!!!!!

turned the motor over to make sure all was good. turned it over without the valve covers on, no spark plugs, and no transmission attached just too make sure all is good so i dont have to take it all apart again, first few cranks turned for 10 second intervals nothing... tried again couple more times nothing.. then i watched the needle rise all the way up past 40 psi and to 60!!!!! ive gotoil pressure. just thought id share my happiness that i wont have to take it apart again, reading of horror stories where some had no oil pressure

well ive got the transmission in. now i can see the actual clearance issues with the blower/fan shroud issues, inlet hat blah blah blah. i moved the radiator forward since i dont have a/c moved both bottom mounts forward on the support. and heres what i came up with:

they "say" the top radiator support stays the same, i dont think so. but i worked the original bends that were there and used some extra spacers i had to help alil bit.

so who can tell me where to get a better inlet hat now

uh oh... when i first started it, it was running with the maf on the trottle body and plugged in. with the intercooler blowing to nowhere. but now that i have got the intercooler all hooked up and and the bpv on, it wont even stay on it dies. is it because i took the maf off since i will be towing out for an SD tune? will the car not idle without a tune? i just want to turn it on to make sure the car is running

If you have any advise on what not to do, let me know because I am going down the same path you just did with mine. Pulling everything out of the car tonight.

my update.... went to rick @ synergymotorsports.

smoked the clutch on the dyno had a couple issues but have been worked out. car runs much smoother, but the large cam still makes it hard to be considered daily drivable.

so im looking into a textralia multi plate setup unless anyone has any other opions
