We have moved the bottom of the radiator forward within the stock bottom radiator support, when the a.c. is deleted, and gained the necessary clearance for a 90 degree aluminum elbow for the inlet to the ProCharger. In doing so you do not have to moved the support, making it a lot easier. Just an idea for you. Bob

I'd like to do this as well... some pics would be nice. The inlet hat on a F1 is VERY restrictive.

Bringing this back b/c I have a question for Kyle or anyone else who can help.

Just cut the Radiator support and then extend it forward more..... then repaint
What did you use to cut this a Bi-metal Hand saw and then go over the metal with a Grinder to smooth it out??? I have a LT1 car and I am wanting to just reuse my Radiator, do you think I will run into Fitment issues, if something did come up I suppose I could make a Bracket on the Bottom of the support to Lower the radiator some.
You guys have any tips?

The problem I foresaw when doing this with the stock radiator is ground clearance. I started to think about every time I heard the air damn scrape the pavement and then thought how lovely it would be with my radiator lowered down to that height. So, I instead ordered a Griffin with the necessary reduced height. This was all on an LT1 car, if it is a matter.

i went with a griffin also and a single 16" spal fan and it works just fine.....185-190 the other day in 100 degree heat. with a 4.5" thick FMIC in front of it...

Pretty much the accepted standard when relocating the radiator foward is that you'll need a smaller radiator. 27.5x16.5 overall is a perfect fit when cutting the support. The lower radiator shelf doesn't have to be cut when using a smaller core, just cut out the part that slants it foward. We just did this on an 95 LT1.

On a stocker needing more room you can pull the stock radiator a good bit forward when using a SS bmr radiator cover, just have to slot the mounting holes about an inch. I have this done to my own personal car. Gives enough room to mount a GT42 in front of the crank pulley.

Is your fan shrouded or just attached to the core?

It is attached to some welded tabs, put on with studs. Sorry I don't have better pics but I was really in a rush putting it together trying to make it to a race.

Kyle I would like to know which 16inch Spal fan setup you are running. I have been looking at the affordable Afco raditors and I am going to take rcefed98 advice and get a 27.5x16.5 Size raditor with the Fan setup you are running. If you are only running one Fan what CFM does it flow.

I plan on cutting the Front support and keeping my condensor so I can still have A/C. I may get the Fan setup and see if I can make it work with the factory Lt1 radiator
