an fitting assembly
an fitting assembly how are you guys assembling an fittings without scaring them? I ordered 2 sets of -4 through -12 wrenches but they dont fit some of the fittings (mainly 90 and 45 deg )
oops ment to post this in the fuel form but any suggestions from the fi people on assembly would be good too. I just hate messing up such expensive fittings.

I used a shop rag wrapped around the fittings that the AN Wrenches dont fit, and clamp into a vise, being careful. It sucks when the right tools arent the right tools..hmm..
Also get a set of the Summit Aluminum Vise Inserts with magnetic backing. They go in your vise and are made for doing the fittings. Less than $20 and they make life easier.
I also cut the hose using 1" duct tape tightly wrapped and a new, fine tooth bi-metallic hacksaw blade. Very clean cuts.
