Got Kicked Off Track Today- 9.581 at 146.458mph-8lbs of Boost

Badass David, you haven't even touched the potential that car has, I see another second getting lopped off that slip at a minimum before the season's done. Only problem I see... is that you're gonna be going faster then 8.50 I'd guess with that, better plan for a 7.50 cert on that thing sometime donw the road.

Poss for 8.50's but lower than that will take a lot of work and heck of a track.

3rd pass: stepped up launch to 3500rpm: 1.561; 6.243 at 115.820; 9.650 at 144.616 (heard a "clunk" at release of t-b, got out of it and than back into it - turned out just to be limiters, next time I'll know what lifting the front end with limiter sounds like )
All was done on wastegates only (8lbs). Mostly 90-100% throttle. A/F was 11.68-11.8. Plugs looked dead on. Still have 10lbs of boost and 400rwhp in the bag
Very nice day. The SS was dead straight all day. Not a wiggle.
The track Tech guy said the next pass had better be a licensing run. We're not ready for that - the chasis needs certifing first.
I'll post a video later.
David
Here's the video link - notice how smooth and almost lazy the SS leaves, couldn't believe it ran a 9.58

for wheel spin on the dyno...
navydavidss- I noticed somewhere on one of your graphs that you were only seeing 110 MPH- I believe you had 3.73 rear and 28 in tires- so you should be 140 MPH+ @ the top of the pull- is the dyno operater in drive??? I have had 1050 + on our dynojet numerous times and have not had any wheelspin issues, including 800 hp and 1500 lb ft diesels (with wicked spool-up) Just wondering
yes- i just looked at your graph again navydavidss and it is only showing 100 mph- either you have severe trans slip (doubtful since you've already been down the track) or they are trying to dyno in 2nd gear...??? Your numbers will most likely go up with more load (and the tire slip issue may go away)? Worth asking about- i'm not there but something doesn't look right

thanks yet again. Low 8's ??? Our initial goal was 1,000RWHP, mid-8's. That is still our goal. Mid-to-low 8's would be awesome. I'll settle for low 9's for now.
rubbersidedown. Joey knows his ****, on and off the dyno. The reason that you only see 100mph, is that he had to let out of it early, like about 5500rpms, due to tire spin/smoke. I'm not going to worry about dyno numbers. Would we have like to have a dyno sheet with 1,000RWHP on it? of course. We KNOW that it will lay down 1K at 18-19lbs of boost. My drive train will not take much more (poss 1100-1200) but I do not want to push it. 1k will be just fine by me. Oh yea, I run 30" tires, but yes on the 3:73's. Once those twins start to spool, it just awesome.

Thanks Toonz. How have you been.
Wicked 95z. It was possibily the easiest run I have ever made. I ran nitrous up until this year. The hit out of the hole on nitrous was a rush. Best ever on nitrous was a 1.34 60'. We are hoping to get into that range with the twins. I was shocked that the timeslip read 9.581 at 146. It felt good but no way. My builder/tuner/sponsor about ****. If you look at the video he had to look twice at the score board and than still didn't believe it until he seen the timeslip.
We are just hoping to play it safe but the engine set-up and this old man.

Things are going well here David, a lot going on, but time is going by quickly.
I think next spring I need to line up with you in Kyle's TA. Should be a pretty even match. Keep on driving through, I know you'll be putting down some much lower numbers soon!

Na$ty-TA. Yep. No use to go back and not be able to run So much work going at the shop, its hard to get it done. We are also re-doing the exvac system.
Toonz/Na$ty-TA. Sounds like fun Right now we are trying to get me use to the extra power and than gradually bring up the boost. We are hoping to have it fully tuned, ceritifed and me ready for the South/North shootout in September. With gas prices that is going to be a long, expensive haul for one day of racing. BUT it will be worth it just to meet up with some of our LS1. I don't even know what class I would be running - poss outlaw or outlaw drag radials???? with the 67's I don't think I can run extreme.
