STS kit will work fine and the FMIC stuff isn't too expensive - but I think you will be into it at least $5500 assuming you do all the work, tuning and installation of fuel pump / injectors.

TRT could tell you better

You can get a rear mount intercooled kit with water/meth, for 4750. Pm me for more information as they are not a sponser.

Like mentioned above, just use the search tool and look for anything on STS and read up. It will really help clarify things.

Tuning is going to be at least 400 + dyno time. You will need a clutch, blow off valve, boost controller, about 50 trips to the hardware/auto parts store for some little piece of pipe or tube or screw or electrical part or something. You will then be addicted to boost and have to turn it up, which means adding meth, more tuning, getting a new low comp motor, etc.. Do it, I say, we did...

Oh yeah, there is no cheap way to do FI, but if you like the STS kit, TRT has good prices and lots of experience.

damn to me a supercharger sounds easier and the power is always there...
and the procharger kit was only 4465.00 for my car.

and they guy i talked to said his went on his car with no extra parts needed.

is there a big advantage with turbos over superchargers?

always there.... put a turbo on and everytime you hammer it... the power will be there as well. I think if you dont have a camaro, you can tuck the rear mount up pretty well to be decently hidden, but someone can always just look under your rear bumper.... To get started... pick out a kit, swap a few parts around as to what billy says, run low boost for a while, save some more cash and then if you get an itch for more power, go talk to Billy again to what you should mod now... Also.. .that procharger price most likely doesnt include fuel upgrades, guages, tuning, install, etc. Add $600 for fuel and a few more hundred for guages and your right there or more than the STS package from TRT

I spent just under 4 grand on my turbo kit that I pieced together with a FMIC, including injectors, fuel pump, and everything that goes along with a rear mount. Tuning would probably be the best thing for the kit, or probably the most important I should say... I got a mail order tune on mine, and the motor came apart... Very expensive to fix/replace. I think the 4k I spent was worth every penny, considering what I got, and the performance gain that is always there...

THere are always numerous things you can add; bov, bigger turbo, more injector, stall or clutch, suspension, etc..
With a stock LS1 this pkg and a good tune will get you on the road. You have to know the limitations and not push your motor unless you are ready to spend alot more. With this pkg, there will nothing else you need and very little if any "running around" collecting more parts.
