Put an electric cutout, would be curious to see how it does.

I had a pair of ATR mufflers before my current Magnaflows. I had the packing blow out of the ATR's in the 700-740rwhp range.

Definately behind for 15 psi boost. Specifically a M6 car. At 15 psi with an Auto car and a 9" rear my street kit is at 644 rwhp... In a manual car, I would expect right at 700 rwhp.

should I do the QTP or not? Also guys I went by the best muffler shop around us. They told me to run Borla XR1 3 inch blow threw style. The problem is I have center mounted exhaust and don't want to get rid of it. what should I do?

qtp and dmh are both junk.I had both..rattled when closed and the qtp quit working after only a few miles. JUNK!!
Saw one from pro street or something and it looks to be much better design.

You can have your tips welded or clamped to any exhaust you get. For example, a hooker, it has two pipes on either side. At the end point, "tips", have a 90 degree elbow fabbed and connected to the center tips on either side...

As for a cutout, they seem to have issues, but i remember reading about a particular cuout that is praised well...

the QTP is a good choice though, just dont expect it to last forever.

Get yourself a hooker or magnaflow, nothing with bullet mufflers or dumps, it'll be as quit when you want it and aggresive when you leave the other guys behind.

I have a Street Flow cutout and I haven't had any problems with it. It's a quality piece.

Are they a sponsor on here? Where can I check it out at?

Qtp lasted a few months. It both rattled and stopped working.JUNK!! and don't care if they are a sponsor or sell them on Summit. It wans't worth my effort to send it back with brokerage, shipping, etc.

Dmh promised his would not rattle. He lied.I rattles when closed very annoying. It did work however.

I will try this other one mentioned above its a different design so maybe it will work well. The cutout is a great mod when it works.

My buddy got a QTP rebuilt unit from speed inc for a good price, they suggested putting a lil bead of silicone on the sealing surface to help with sealing. He never did the RTV thing but it works perfectly otherwise. Only had it on for a week or two, but its been opened an closed plenty and no issues at all to report. I guess they recently upgraded the gears in em to something a lil stronger too??

QTP has been fine on the car for 3,500 miles and more than 40 passes of open and closing and the looks are comical if you decide to open it up at the stop light next to a big block car.
