What does hi-fi mean and will this turbo work?

What does hi-fi mean and will this turbo work? OK, searched and looked and have not seen what hi-fi means, like what is a T60-1 hifi?
Also, I am getting a used TTi street kit and am wondering if this turbo will work with the kit. I know most guys recommend the T76, but this seems like a decent alternative in terms of value (used T60 = $375 or less, new T76 = $1350).

If money is a concern just go with a a Master Power T70. You can pick one up for 525-575 and get an oncenter .96a/r exhaust housing off ebay for around 50-75. Atleast with the T-70 you can make more than 500rwhp, for not too much more $$$

Thanks Dave. I would really like the T76 that TTi uses, but they want $1350 for the turbo. Seems a little high to me. I would just get a regular T76, but I don't really want to cut into my car frame.
Your idea about the T-70 seems like a good alternative.

Don't know if Jose still carries them, if not you can find plenty for sale on Turbomustangs.com, through various vendors.

Dave, what size log and crossover did you have on that setup? I am assuming you had a 3" downpipe, correct?
Also, I have read that the MP T70 will spool pretty quick due to its light weight shaft. Is that you opinion also? What rpm did you see full boost at?

The T-70 spooled really quick and had full boost by 3000 rpm, but any front mount kit with a T-76 or smaller will spool instantly on an LS1 when you're above 3500rpm.
