which setup is faster?
which setup is faster? sts 550 rwhp, or cam and nitrous 550 rwhp. both setups are available to me im just not sure which one is faster in the 1/8 and 1/4, my car goes 7.3s with 449 rwhp in the 1/8. thanks
cam/nitrous is way better bang for the buck, but filling the bottle, and no spooling sound and a whooosh at the end!!! I love my turbo, wouldn't have it any other way. If you're running m6, to fully utilize the sts, you'll have to have a 2-step. Unless you're NOSing it off the line, you won't get the same effect as the turbo (with the 2-step). I've seen excellent results from both setups, just up to what you really want out of the car.
Faster? The Nitrous car will be faster at the track. STS spool time is not very good vs. nitrous which is instant off the line.
Day to day driving, Turbo is much nicer... but I'm not really a STS fan.

i just went from nitrous to turbo. the nitrous seemed quicker, but the turbo is faster. there is hardly any delay in spool as ryan would have you believe. the nice thing about the turbo is you never have to worry about running out of juice, never have to fill a bottle, its always there. and the STS can be added to so you can get even better rwhp #s. my car ran 7.8 in the 1/8 at 89mph with nitrous, now same eng with 5psi STS no intercooler no meth - 7.6 at 93mph. Sounds good to.
