Default L19 bolts a good idea?

Just wondeirng if anyone feels ARP2000 bolts or L19 bolts would be a good addition to a shortblock built for FI? Im wondering as a speed inc rep told me the regular ARP bolts are fine and thats what was in their around 1000 RWHP 370? Whats everyone elses feelings about it? Better safe then sorry, or waste of $? Also, EXPLAIN why you think what you do. Gives your answer alot more credit that way!

Thanx for anyones input on this.

I'd asked for L19 bolts when I ordered my rods, just for piece of mind.

I am running L19's in my eagle rods only because the ARP2000's were back-ordered at the time lol...otherwise I'd be running arp2000's.

Humm this was actually my post i accidently put it up on my buddies name though. The guy at speed was practically encouraging me to leave whatever bolts were in there alone. He said no one gets L19's, i asked for a price and he said he isnt sure he would have to find out etc etc and just made it sound like a big hasssle to do. So i told em to leave the stock ones, im gonna have to call em tommorow as their closed now.

I wouldn't worry about it...I believe harlan ran arp2000's all the way to low 8's at 170 mph.

think he means the stock, as in the standard 8740 alloy chrome moly bolts, that come in Eagle rods...instead of upgrading to the ARP 2000 or L19 bolts...

My feelings remain the same...arp, l-19 better yet. I know the pain of l-19 pricing . I think my head bolts were 450-500.

<- Another nobody

I think plain Eagle rods were ~350, Eagle rods with L19's were $450 when I bought them... For a motor that's got $$,$$$.$$ invested in it... hundred bucks didn't make a big difference to me.
