Installing Incon Kit... Should I Shoot Myself?
I think once, if, I decide to upgrade the turbos, get the manifolds coated etc. I would have paid the same for my kit. You got a good deal on it.
Is anybody running theirs without the HVAC removed by any chance?
Thats a good point and something I've been pondering myself. Even with the upgraded turbos I don't know if they will generate too much heat with the high altitude (6000-9000ft DA) and therefore enough potential to get me into the 9's. IIRC the price ranges from 1400-1700. I seriously doubt with the normal turbos I'll have enough to get into the 9's. It seems even you guys there and at lower altitudes are just barely in that range 9.8X etc.
Even John Urist is 1/2-3/4 of a sec. slower here, and that's an SSO car.
I've been thinking of selling the kit and going with a single. For the kind of money thats going to be spent on the upgraded turbos I might as well. After all my car is pretty much turning into a strip car.

I don't care to buy another F-body just to put the kit on it. I guess we'll see. I would rather buy a ZO6
Given my goals, and altitude I'm going to need something different. It's a great kit for a street car (even street strip as Cablebandit pointed out) but my car is deviating from that. I'm going to need something more suited to where I live.
I already have an interested party, if it falls through check the FS section Sunday.
The previous owner (Edster) numbered most bags so it's easier for me to identify parts compared to the instructions.
And the ever-giving money tree that has helped pay for the kit.

2) I'll sure let you know when it's alive, we'll go for a spin.
3) I'm keeping that heavy cam. (236/236 -112LSA) The Buick GN guys have a 108 LSA from the factory and aftermarket grinds are in the 110-112 range. I've spoken with several people on this and this cam is going be a beast. I've been told by two different people (one owns an Incon, one has a 1000 hp car) that this cam will be good past 800 rwhp.
It sounds like a beast now, I can only imagine the sound when the twins are spooling up along with the cam sound.
There is a reason why they sell for just as much as they did new 6 years ago.
I would also recommend a tubular, makes the install much easier and you can get the hard parts in while swapping the K-member.
Its a great system, from a former Incon owner...plus look at Cablebandit and others on here. Look how long they've had their systems on their cars and how many miles on them.
I believe one member in Ohio is pushing 60K with his kit, thats a helluva lot of reliability.
If LPE offers a pump, get one. They did not offer a pump for F-body owners when I contacted them many years ago but even though the Tilton pump is a breeze to change better off putting the mechanical one on and never having any problems.
I'll put the tank back in after work and then mount the external fuel pressure regulator. After that I'll turn the car around in the garage and start on the front.

It took about 2.5 hours taking my time. I dropped the rear axle assembly by unhooking the lower shock bolts and letting it hang, taking off the hangers for the exhaust and unhooking the i-pipe from the y-pipe. Then I had a clean shot at the tank.
I drove the car around until I only had 1/8th tank of gas, so it was easier to handle. I still may need to have my wife help out for 10 minutes getting it hung again.
