Wow that's alot of RPMs....

Good numbers too @ that level of boost going through that big stall....

Did ya see my ragged **** hiding out in the back? It would've been sitting up all high from having no engine

I'd drive on those 2.73s for a bit and make sure before I ditched them, you may end up changing back.

I looked for your car while I was there, didnt see it, must have had the licence plate cover over on. I was like a kid in a candy shop looking at the projects back there. TT427's, KenneBell LS1s.....etc

I was hoping to run 10lbs but we couldnt figure out the turbosmart dual stage boost controller, so just went w/ the wastegate spring.

Mine was in the VERY back, back towards where he builds engines and those parts shelves.... Oh well I'm sure you're glad to have it done, I would be. How's it feel on the street?

I think it's funny what different people want. You want to get rid of your 2.73's and I'm getting rid of my 3.50's for 2.75's next week. One of my friends is getting rid of his 3.42's for 2.73's in his 10 bolt as well. We both feel that it will be a better match for our cars. (500+ rwhp, th400's).

You might want the 2.73's when you start making more power, my car pulls the hardest in 3rd gear. It's an odd feeling to shift from 2nd to 3rd and feel the car pickup speed like you just grabbed the unit.

2.75's are great on highway rolls, most bikes don't stand a chance, they just keep losing ground everytime they shift LOL.

So you dont think the falling off of torque is the 2.73s? or is this nature of the stall on the dyno?

I just got 5gallons of meth at lunch, so I can play around some later today.

I would keep the 2.73's for now. They make for one heck of a top end...hehehe.

yeah, those gears aren't hurting you.. its the combo. Well, the combo is not hurting you but your graph is fine. That big trque spike is the torque multiplication factor of that stall. It falls of because that run wasn't locked and it spins a bit. Also, the converter will couple over at a set speed, usually 6k, depending on your converter efficiency, the power figures will either flatten out or dip a bit.

If you car can handle it, have the converter locked, by software, on the dyno and see what she can do... that will give you a graph that looks more like a M6 graph and show the amount of power your combo is making without the slip of the converter when unlocked..

also, I just noticed something... your spinning that motor up high huh? Whats trans are you running? If the stock 4l60e, well, get ready for it to be refreshed soon becuz they are know not to hold that much rpm and that much power, or which ever comes first.

The RPM's are lying it wasnt spun that high.

This is my 3rd and last 4l60E, I will go th400 next. Its built to the hills, so we'll see how long it lasts.

I should have asked for a locked up pull.

I am gonna take astab in the dark here and guess your torque fall off may also have something to do with the turbo.. that is a pretty small unit for your cubes coupled with that very restrictive turbine P trim wheel.. your probably leaving a large amount of power from simple restriction and excessive back pressure in your exhaust system. no doubt it spools like a shot, but after that she just keeps getting further and further away from its efficiency island making less and less as you push it further and further past its capability. if your setup is built to accept a little bigger turbo physically, I would recommend strongly jumping up to a larger turbine wheel.. Q,R, or best the S.. don't think the MP turbos are available with those in the T4 series.. the GT45 is pretty much a T6 69mm S wheeled turbo.. but it is an absolute HOSS physically weighing almost 50 pounds. My little Precision 74GTS was all I could fit sue to its small body.. it has big wheels in the little T4 frame with no antisurge housings. fits nicely and moves quite a bit more air then I thought it owuld originally.

over all that is a very nice graph either way.. nice and smooth with a ton of usable power on the table for a very long time.. bet she feels like a freight train! we need to hook up and have some fun man... Noticed your in J-Ville.. think we talked before.. I am trying to finish up my fuel system and maybe hit Midnite madness this saturday at coastal plains dragway.. gonna be around?

Thanks man, I have been following your build on HorsepowerJunkies......nice lookin setup.

I think a larger turbo would be great, its finding the funds to get one now. The MPTurbos are very attractive price wise.....maybe I just need to add a 2nd one, lol

I am having a group of FBodies over at the house saturday, and w/ all the alcohol thats going to be consumed I doubt I will make it out to MM.

I will definitely look you up in the future, thanks again for the advice!!

That graph looks great man, a PERFECT match to your gearing

If anything I'd keep the 2.73s and go slightly tighter on the converter
