Casper electronics V-plus volt booster
Dont know how it works exactly but I figured now was the time to try it. All I can say is it works as advertised so far, just made a couple quick high gear blasts and sure enough it bumps the voltage a solid 2 volts which makes a pretty big difference with these two walbro pumps. If it works during a full pass (I notice sometimes the alternator shuts down on a full pass) its a great 80.00 investment..
It should work on a C5 as long as a C5 had the regular round TPS connector - I forget if it does or not..
I assume it just 'full fields' the alernator somehow so the alternator will be working harder. But since it only works at 70% and above throttle it should be OK. See what happens at the track in a few days..

I didnt think it was going to work at all on these newer CS alternators but it works as advertised. Had a multimeter taped to my windshield plus logged the voltage through the PCM and there was a solid 2 volt increase.
That's dedication.
So this piece raises raises the entire effective voltage for the whole car rather than acting like a BAP? My first impression of the device was it just had a very healthy DC2DC converter in it, but one that would encompass the high current level such as total vehicle load would have to cost more than $80... and I don't know how effecient the current offering of these are either. I would tend to think that pulling up the field would be an easier and more realistic solution as well.
So how does it wire up?

It just plugs into the alterator connector and TPS plug, one wire goes to the alt output wire. I was able to put it on from the top in like 5 minutes. If you have the ABS motor still there you will have to do it from underneath I think.
It raises the voltage to the whole car, it works off the TPS and when it reaches a certain point the voltage goes up.

I will still need to add a BAP later..

I tried one on the CE the other day at the track and voltage was at 15 all the way down the track. You will need to adjust fueling for this if your pumps start supplying more psi. I was blowing smoke from the hit. More fuel and more Meth made for a very rich pass. It works though.
I would recommend to those who plan on getting one to get a TPS harness extension kit as well. Its connector harness is rather short and makes it so it needs to be left hanging near the TB. Kind of a shady install. With the extension harness will give you more otions for a install. Only thing to be cautious with is to keep it away from any other electrical items, due to possiable problems. "As per Caspers Tech"

Your exactly right we were very limited on where we could install it and put it in a temporary location...

Here is what I used, Note you get 2 per kit note one. Which is needed.
And Let me correct my last post. I meant TPS not MAF.
