GT-70 Turbo Couple questions. I am looking at a car I found for sale. It has a GT-70 Turbo rear mounted. I do not know much about turbos. I will say that up front. How good are the GT-70's? Also what kind of reliability can I expect with a turbo as compared to a Procharger? (Professionally installed). How will the rear mounting affect my ground clearance? And last but not least, how much worse is a turbo for a 6spd as compared to a supercharger? Thanks for the enlightenment in advance.
On a stock ride height car, its not an issue. If you are lowered, then you have to be careful. One of the biggest drawbacks with the 6 speed is that w/o a 2 step, you cant build boost before launch. IMO, the turbo will start to boost later, but will be at full boost faster than with a supercharger. With a 2 step though, no drawbacks.

Something most people use just for drag racing. You cant have cats and a 2 step. It will ruin them quick,fast, and in a hurry. I dont really a have a good technical explanation, although I'm sure if you search, you will find it. Sorry.
