ATI D1SC or P1SC I have been thinking about getting a procharger but i am not sure which one to get. i dont want to run too much boost because the internals of the engine are stock and i want to still have a reliable car. the mods in my sig are the only mods i have and after the procharger i will most likely be done modding the car. So i was wondering how much boost i should run and which procharger to get. Thanks
Get a D1, you can change pullies and the blower will be able to keep up with your needs for much longer t hen a P1. You will kick yourself in the *** later down the road as you want to make more power.

The price difference between the P-1SC and the D-1SC head unit is only several hundred dollars. Both blowers use the same housing, but the D-1SC is capable of producing more boost in case you decide to upgrade the engines internals in the future. You can send in a P-1SC to have it upgraded into a D-1SC, but it will cost you $1,200.00.
The D-1SC F Body kit comes with one inch thicker intercoolers than the P-1SC kit does, on the 98-up F Body, plus it comes with the eight rib belt assembly. I always recommend the D-1SC kit. More is better in this case... Bob

So if i run like 7 psi would i need to upgrade any internals on my car. b/c i am really trying to steer away from that. I want to keep the motor as stock as possible so it is still good and reliable.

i was also looking at an sts turbo b/c it is cheaper and not always in boost so i wont really loose gas mileage to much. i dont know too much on them but do they sound bad b/c i read that they relplace the muffler on the car. or is a procharger a better route. thanks
Alot of people go D1 but there really is no reason too on a stock motor Car.Sometimes we run the P1-2 which easilly makes 500rwhp on a stock motor or 600rwhp on a stock motor with headers and a small Cam (10lbs of boost).Just when you order the P1 setup you go for the 8rib and upgraded intercoolers.

I thought the LT1 came with the 8 rib belt and the LS1 had the bigger intercoolers.

8 rib is optional on both LS1 kits. The LS1 kits both got the upgraded cooler though im pretty sure.

Gas mileage under normal driving conditions with an ATI ProCharger is still about the same as it was before the blower installation. Bob
