Default ls6 valley cover?

i just got my katech valve covers and dont want to drill a hole to run the pcv on the driver side. it is predrilled for the passenger side though. my question is, i know i need to run some kind of pcv setup since i will be running the procharger. is the ls6 valley cover something i SHOULD be doing, seeing how having just the passenger side tapped probably is not enough to release pressure. its only $50 something plus shipping brand new.

oh yeah and does the ls6 valley cover go right onto the 408 iron block, i dint bother to check before i put the ls1 cover on it.

just make sure your intake manifold will clear it, they used a different manifold on thoes cars with valley pcv. Its a much cleaner looking setup though

SVC707. #1 you have a 2002. Therefore you have an LS6 intake already. Therefore you have the LS6 valley cover. This is what I have done (I use to have an LS6 intake/valley cover, now a Victor Jr). I assume you are going to be running the stock LS6 intake - right? Use a rubber tubing from the PCV pipe from the valley cover to a catch can, I use a breather on top of the catch can. I also use a breather for the valve cover. Works great for me. What little blow by from the either breather is very very minimumal. I have had no oil to catch can yet.

Or since you already have the ls6 intake you could just get a 90deg fitting and drill/tap your current cover, should be fine and cost just a few dollars

Last year - on nitrous and now on boost - I used the same set up. Catch from valley cover; breather on valve covers. We have dyno the SS on 17lbs of boost (only 8 at the track) without any problems. I can't say that you or someone else may or may not. I only know what works for me.
