Default 2 milestones for the sts SS!!

Well i got a good one and a bad one! Some of you already know about the bad one but been so busy lately thought i would post up the good one as well.....

well after going to the track i finially broke 120mph in the 1/4.....but.........after 3 runs i spun a bearing in cyl 6!!!!!

the motor has been taken completly apart and waiting on a few things from TRT and J&J

The sucky part is that i am home (NY) on leave from base (GA) and i need to be back on the 29th at 2230.....so assuming i get all the parts monday i have about 4 1/2 days to turn this.....

(not bad for 70k miles)

to well.....running and back together and ready for the 900mile ride to buffalo no later than friday night.

should be fun!

i do not blame the sts for this at all....when i first put the kit together i forgot to fully tighten down an oil fitting and it came off after about 5hrs of driving and dumped almost all the oil out of the car in about 5 seconds.....lost almost all pressure oil pressure....and so on and so on......thought because i caught it early it would be ok, guess not.

and i have parts comming...i dont think it will be that hard at all...just cutting it close...but at least i have all the tools

good luck man, working on your back in your garage is no joke.

sounds like if you get your motor back in time you should have that thing running in no time.

i got a quick question about how u lifted the car, once u got the rear wheels on the ramps how did u lift up the front? when my car goes on ramps the front goes so low my jack wouldnt fit under the front crossmember in a million years, even if i jack up the side....

Major props to you !!!!!!! Someone who doesn't blame others for a mistake! We all make mistakes. VERY FEW own up to them. Good luck on the rebuild.

the ramps were more of an after thought.....we jacked up the back of the car after we had the front on jack stands than slid the ramps under the wheels.

with the car on ramps i can get a jack under the side of the car and jack it up tho.....is your lowered?
