Best size twin turbos for street/cruising? Edited subject from before since no replies
I've decided to sell my Malibu and build the 67 Chevelle in a pro-touring style. I still plan to do the turbo LS1 motor. I currrently have a GT42 for the LS1. This car will be more for cruising and not racing. What's the popular choice for twins on the street? I also believe the twins look better and will be MUCH easier to plumb
ideas?

I have no goal per se. When I had planned the Malibu build it was 650-700rwhp. This is going to be a cruise around/show car but I still want it NOT to be a dog. The Chevelle weighs in around 3600-3700 and the Malibu was 3100 but then again I won't be racing this...well, not planning to

I have to partially disagree with the first post. Twins will certainly look better, but are almost never easier to plumb. You trade running one hotside crossover with a single turbo for running double hot and cold plumbing for twins. All the hassle aside, I would still go with the twins.

So what about the GT42 that I have now...what kind of street manner would it have (Garrett gt42. 94mm w/ 70mm inducer. T4 flange 1.01 A/R)?
I'm certainly not beyond keeping it...especially after I polished the housing.
It would sure be a lot less hassle trying to sell it for a decent price then have to buy 2 smaller units, another gate and BOV

No, not really wanting to change setups. I just thought this one may have been too big for a car that was going to be mostly street driven.

My Protouring 69 Camaro I'm building is a 347 LS1 with twin T3 hybrid turbos in the 60 to 61 mm range. I am using these mainly for the fast spooling needed for the street manners. This car will not be a drag car but be very quick and handle very well due to it's C5 front & rear suspension components. If I were to build it towards a Prostreet type then I would have considered a large single. Being that it is a Protouring car I say twins are best tor this application. So with that being said, maybe that's what you need to decide. What sreet manners will your car take on? Quick? Or just out right fast?
