Default First time at the track.

My best was 12.1@119 on 315 street tires. This was with my shiny new th400 with a trans brake that I couldnt even look at without spinning the tires and a 3600ish stall. Mods are in sig. I had to take it very easy in first and could get a best of 2.03 60'. The tires just let go at more than 1/2 throttle in first. I could usually launch very easy and keep a little traction untill about 80' in. I shifted at 5300 in first and 5800 in 2nd and 6400 into 3rd. I think I can trap about 124 or so if I could get some traction in first and be able to shift a little higher. I guess I will find out when I get some better tires. Oh yeah it was about 98deg and 80% humidity. BTW I did not have a run where I didnt spin the tires for about 100' in first and second.

Sounds pretty damn good man, you're wasting that hard earned power spinnin the tires, get some stickies and run it! I think you should be able to hit 124 mph in the 1/4. Nice times man.

that is pretty good

what size turbo and how much boost

I have a PTS kit as well with a 6 speed and a t-67 precision
at ~ 7 to 9 psi it has ran a 11.70 at 118 and a 11.98 at 120
that was on nittos and the 11.98 was on the stock clutch,tranny,rear,2.0 60ft
I dynoed 475 at 4900 with ~ 8 PSI which seems kind of low to me
on that dyno run it peakde at 9 psi at 3400 and boost started falling off to less than 7 psi at 5500 or so
I have a been fighting this boost drop from day one

the 11.7 was on nine inch, spec stage 3+, built t56
my turbosmart e-boost II showed 10.0 psi at the end of the run but it
has been falling off about 2 to 3 psi on the street from peak boost of around 8 or 9 PSI

I am working on a 2 Bar set up right now

have you had it dynoed
do you have boost falling off or is it holding steady

I have a stock engine other than LS6 valve springs

it seems like no mater what boost level that I run,
when i make a 3rd or 4th gear pull from ~3000 to ~6000 it loses 2 to 3 pounds of boost
and I have tried to hold it with the boost controller but no luck with that yet

You're right. It sounds like a WG issue or a pipe issue... Maybe a silicone coupler holds tight but pops a small leak under high boost and then the boost falls?
