i'll ship the cam when I ship Tony's fuel pump. Been ignoring the garage the past couple days after having 2 years worth of promod style burnout rubber falling on me screwing around with these gas tanks.

Curious to see how the smaller turbo acts, go raid the kitchen for a strainer like DJ 99 posted up on his F1C, thats where I got mine from for the next time out lol. Get you driving anyhow

Will keep an eye on your results and opinions with this swap.

I will probably have an 03 LS6 cam up for sale pretty soon, only 10k miles if somebody in this section is interested.

More timing is what you wanted...the more the merrier and back it down as the boost comes up.

LTL, Doh meant higher timing, i'm running my timing where I stall it up in the 38-42 degree region with out any KR. Spools faster. Sorry about the confusion. Also added fuel as well in those regions because the car responded better to it and the higher timing, spool wise.

Super Z were are at 5600ft and the DA sits at 6000+ damn near all the time.

THE Supra , nope its Master Power T70 not an SSchrome turbo. Got mine for 575 with DP starter, clamp and oil inlets and outlets....GP price was 525 or something like that on turbomustang.com.

bboyferal, i'd like to think the gears woulda helped, but look at Kyles pass, 3.73's and his car still spooled up damn fast and put down some awesome power....with the S88...with his GT42-76 it never really came up on power....mine doesn't either. Best trap with it so far it 115 Plus the turbo swap was easier to do than a gear swap....I have 3.23's but hate changing/seting up gears.

Kev, no sweat just joking around about the $$ I know you'll get it out when you have the time

Cool... And for the price, assuming it's a quality unit, there isn't a better deal and value than the MPT-70... The only thing that sucks is how much you can ever sell it for afterward if you decide to... What's cheap new is cheaper used.

Meh not worried about the resale, its like that for any car part with the exception of the incon kits

Just did this for fun, experiment a lil till I have some more $$ for a better turbo altogether.

Frank, guess the rain kept you away today? Can't believe all the rain that is dumping right now. We were on the westside looking at houses when it started pouring again. Decided to have one built, be easier in the long run, 5 months from now and we'll be moving in

I missed the logic on buying something more expensive so it's worth more when you sell it lol...it's like 50% no matter what, and 50% of $500 is a lot less money lost than 50% of $1500...but I'm no finance major.

Just buy what makes me happy I suppose.

Yes, but you forgot to factor in, additionally, the bad rep they're getting from some people and from some sponsors here who refuse to sell them now, openly attributing their decision to their mistrust in the units' quality. I thought it when I mentioned resale but forgot to post this.

My MPT-70 works like a charm, badass quick spooling turbo that has taken a good licking this past year.

Hope mine does too, there was a street mustang out at the track last time I was out, MPT70 built 34Xci (Forgot the exact displacement) running bottom 11's@129-130 on boost alone. So I know they are good for some decent power up here.

Just mainly going for the quick spooling aspect, hope to foot brake it to some good times before I go 2 step....then 12 bolt

Me too, be a fun to see if it actually responds better, if not i'll put the GT42 and the MPT70 up for sale and have a good start on buying a better one.

I'll have to check that post on DJ's set up, the kitchen is no mans land for me, I do still have a lot of screen left to make a turboscreen again

I'm use to the procharger, smash the gas and it was an instant smoke show followed by brutal acceleration. The GT42 wasn't too much fun from a dig, a highway roll it was a blast tho.

Just a lil experimenting since I have both turbo's sitting around.

The turbokart looks fun to make, think i'll go and scrounge up a used turbo from the wrecking yard...just for fun

I have just the opposite problem, spools and comes on boost TOO fast!
