1)how does a supercharger work
2)will it work in conjuntion with a turbo
3)do superchargers use psi of boot to gauge power like turbos do

1) A supercharger in its basic form is a belt driven, gear reduction turbo.
2) Yes, you can make a turbo feed a supercharger since a turbo is exhaust driven
3) I've never heard anyone using boost to gauge how much power a car is making, you can use boost to gauge how much load and restriction is on the engine. But to answer your question, a supercharger will make boost exponetially to engine RPM, where as a turbo will make boost exponetially to engine load.
4) I have seen it done. Is it worth it? No. If you NEED a turbo to feed a supercharger- get a bigger supercharger. You will end up creating more lag on the bootm end when the supercharger is sucking for air that the turbo has not yet produced...
