Iron block and procharged Fbody guys
have any of you guys encountered problems with the procharger bracket flexing because of only 2main bolts holding the charger in place?
just wondering because now im a little curious.
Thanks,
Tyler

I didnt know about this??? How hard is it to drill/tap the hole? If i have the engine up on a stand and put the bracket on will it be pretty obvious? Any special care needed while drilling and tapping this extra hole?

Just make sure you uit the little 'L' bracket back on the alternater to the side of the block up top and it will be OK most likely. Even if you did drill and tap the hole where that white dot is withoyut hitting water the bracket wouldnt sit against it anyhow since its recessed.
This is what a LS1 block looks like..

your best bet is to call SDCE ---> and ask for their bracket support . its a bar that comes from an unused hole in the oil pan and bolts to the back of the blower , effectivly holding it in place .

Thats basically what I have, but I don't know if its worth ordering one, it looks pretty easy to make.

SDCE doesnt ship that small brace on the bottom with their kits anymore I think, its not very strong where it attaches to the pan and wouldnt help you much really IMO. Since plenty of guys have ran prochargers on iron block I wouldnt worry too much about it.
