My opinion is you better get back to wrenching, that's what you get for buying used stuff.

What did TTi say, should it still work?

The crossover wont work. TTi could not tell for sure what style the crossover was, or if it was even one they made. George thought it was for an auto car.

I have to disagree with you John about the used stuff comment. I was more than willing to go buy misc bolt/nuts, gaskets, vac lines. But this guy lied about this deal from the start, and the stuff we are talking about is not misc little items. These are major, and expensive, pieces.

I've bought tons of used parts before, never had really too many issues with them...other than they were used. Some of us really can't afford to be buying new this and that but still enjoy modding our cars and have to make do with used items.

BUT when buying used we run a risk. That is why you have to know your seller. There is really nothing the mods or owners of tech can do. It was a personal deal, not a deal between a sponsor and a customer.

Hope you get it figured out. Maybe send the kit to TTI to have them make heads or tails of it.

Good luck.

I agree with you frcefed. Based on the sellers feedback, and testimony from members I thought I was safe.

I am not really asking you guys to solve this problem, just give your opinion if I am seeing things correctly. My view is I got screwed, just want to see if others think that or not.

Yeah i'd say you got screwed, pretty safe to say that he sold you something that was talked up to be much more than what he sent...weak.

Wow...

Like I said in a previous thread, I've always known Matt to be a stand up guy. One look at his trader rating (aside from this deal) tells that he's top notch.

I'm really shocked this is turning out this way. I'm really floored over it. I mean, he is a friend of mine that I know from the Atlanta area, we meet up on cruise nights etc, but it appears that not all was said at the time of sale.

I'm pissed off at this, what makes it worse is that I know him and- like him as a person. He's good in my book and he's always got me to count on if he needs help, but man this whole thing really stinks. It really f#ckin' stinks.

Firehawk, I know your obviously friends with the guy Bowtie bought the kit from, but why can't the guy speak for himself? Just curious because I see you standing up for him and I don't want that to hurt your image since this deal between him and Bowtie is obviously only getting worse. I have read numerous threads/posts from Bowtie and it seems with each one there is another problem with the kit.

I bought my kit used, and the only problem I ran across was an auto cross over...which was my fault for not checking first. Bowtie seems to be getting alot of problems that he shouldn't be having for buying a kit that was in "working order and complete".

Anywho, bowtie...my advice: Just ditch the kit now, stop spending money on it. Sell the hot parts or something on ebay and start over. If you have a T-76 or another turbo in working order hold onto that and buy another kit from a sponsor around it. Either do that or send the entire thing to TTi to have them look at it.

This is what the old style auto cross over looks like:

^ directly bellow the exhaust manifold and above the abused I-pipe.

Josh, Matt (seller) blatantly lied, and broke his word, about several things thru this deal between him and me. It sucks that he is your friend, but he is responsible for his actions/words.

I don't know why he wont speak up about this. You said he was mad at me; I dont know why. He got all my money and more for this kit and I am the one that got f**ked. So what does he have to be mad about

Neal, I appreciate the advice. I wish I never bought this damn thing and I could start over. I'm not sure I could sell this kit in good conscience since I know it is screwed up. Maybe I will send some parts to TTi and see what they have to say. Guess my car will be down for a while longer.

Matt, if you read this why dont you have the guts to speak up? Your reputation is sure going downhill fast.

Damn dude... This really freaking sucks... I hope this **** gets straigtened out...

This guy has obviously lied about the whole sale and really been pretty shitty about everything...

I guess all you can do is leave him bad feedback and catch every buy or sale he tries to do on this site and other sites with links to all your issues with him as a seller...

Josh, I don't know you but you have always seemed pretty cool and knowledgable... I think as a sponser it might be time for you to quit trying to back this guy... You don't want to be associated with crap like this being as the site is a business oppourtunity..

I've met Matt a couple of times,

You know what I'm talking about... an aqauintance that you consider a friend.

*** Listen to me ***

This isn't my deal, nor am I siding with Matt... because he is obviously wrong here.

I'm not even sure what I'll say to Matt the next time I talk to him.... this whole thing's a f#cking mess.

I'm an honorable person and I've tried to help. I'm done. ~Joshua

Hey Russell, hows it going?

And Josh, I dont blame you for any of this nor expect you to do anything about it. I sincerley appreciate you talking to Matt on my behalf, and realize you cant make him do the right thing. You're a good guy in my book. Matt is not.

I can't believe your deal goes from worse to even worse as you get further along... I think it's time to send what you've got to TTi and let them get it sorted out. You might spend some money, but you need to make it work and at this rate you're gonna find out next week that something else is wrong/missing/fucked up. I've followed your deal loosely from the start and it's pissed me off there are people like this out there. I've bought even a whole motor from a user here so don't lose faith in most LS1ers.

call tti, tell them what year manifold you have 98-99= pinch welded steel manifold
2000+= cast iron manifold (better flowing)

once they know this they can supply you with anything you need. they have made several crossovers for this kit, some in front of the engine, some behind, and most recently they made a behind the the engine large 'upgrade' crossover on my car (6 sp) i believ using a cast iron manifold.

Thanks for the offer MM. I asked TTi about it, but they wanted 375 for the crossover. I went ahead and made my own, which I think will be better than theirs, for about $50 worth of parts.

I hope to have some pics of it up later tonight in my TTi install thread.
